Free, or regularly available for $15 or less. Good developers deserve to be paid, and optional cosmetics, expansions, and premium extras are welcome. But we won't list games that sell competitive advantages, disguise a trial as free, or charge again to finish the core experience.
Ready to play
Playable and satisfying today. It can be unfinished; it cannot be unfun. We love supporting indie developers, but prototypes, broken releases, and promises of a future game do not make the cut.

About Panzer Marshal

Panzer Marshal is a free turn-based strategy game inspired by Panzer General II, rebuilt to run directly in a web browser. It presents World War II campaigns as readable hex puzzles: move units, preserve experienced formations, exploit terrain and complete objectives before the scenario clock closes.

The appeal is operational rather than cinematic. Armor wants open ground, infantry earns its keep in cities and forests, artillery shapes attacks from safety, and aircraft punish exposed lines when anti-air coverage slips. Units gain experience across a campaign, so a reckless victory can damage the force you need in the next battle.

Because it runs in a browser, Panzer Marshal is unusually easy to try and works well on modest hardware. The open project also has an Android lineage and public source, but the web build is the cleanest PlayBound route: no Steam account, no client download and no mystery mirror.

This is a fan-made homage with utilitarian presentation, limited onboarding and historical scenarios framed primarily through military mechanics. It is not a modern grand-strategy sandbox, and the AI can feel predictable once its patterns are understood.

PlayBound's read: the directness is the point. If you miss scenario-based hex campaigns where every unit matters, Panzer Marshal gets you from link to first move with almost no friction.
