Does The Dark Mod require Doom 3?

No. Since version 2.0 it has been a completely standalone game.

How do I get missions?

Use the built-in New Mission downloader to browse, install, and launch community missions.

The official installer supports Windows and Linux. macOS is not officially supported.

The base game needs roughly 4–6 GB. Downloaded fan missions can raise the total substantially.
