F.E.A.R. Platinum is a free fps game released under Commercial · DRM-free purchase. It runs on Windows, needs about 15.6 GB of disk space, and requires no account, payment or trial. On a computer, the fastest route is the PlayBound Launcher. On a phone or tablet, use the official store or site instead.

Buy F.E.A.R. Platinum from GOG and download its Windows offline installer from your GOG library. GOG Galaxy is optional.

Run the GOG installer, including its companion data files, and allow room for roughly 16 GB of installed game files. The older 5 GB store minimum understates the full Platinum collection.
In PlayBound, use Locate to select the installed base F.E.A.R. executable. Launch the original campaign first; Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate are separate campaigns in the collection.

Start with the original F.E.A.R. campaign. The two expansions launch separately and should be played after the base story. If you use a controller, select the PlayBound Controls preview and check its bindings before a live match.

PlayBound connects the party on a virtual LAN. Everyone should install the same GOG Platinum build. Party launch opens FEARMP.exe, the collection’s multiplayer client.
Party leader: open Multiplayer in FEARMP.exe and host a LAN match. The match runs on your PC, not on a PlayBound dedicated server.
Friends: join the leader’s PlayBound network address with Direct IP in F.E.A.R. Multiplayer. PlayBound can pass the address to FEARMP.exe at launch; the LAN browser is another option if discovery works.
