Question 1

Accepted Answer

No. The DRM-free GOG master normally costs $5.99. GC2 Essentials and PlayBound party support are free additions.

Question 2

Does Ground Control 2 multiplayer work today?

Accepted Answer

GC2 Essentials redirects the dead GameSpy path to OpenSpy. LAN also remains available through PlayBound Connect.

Question 3

How many people can play?

Accepted Answer

Competitive maps support up to eight players. Campaign cooperative play supports the host plus two friends.

Question 4

Does the PlayBound Edition use Steam or GOG Galaxy?

Accepted Answer

No. A GOG offline installation is enough; PlayBound copies that legal folder and applies GC2 Essentials over the copy.
