Question 1

Do I need GOG Galaxy to play Thief II?

Accepted Answer

No. Download the DRM-free offline installer from your GOG library. Galaxy is optional.

Question 2

Does Thief II support controllers?

Accepted Answer

The current GOG package includes controller support, but mouse and keyboard remain the most precise fit for aiming, inventory, and the original interface.

Question 3

How do I play Thief II fan missions?

Accepted Answer

Use the NewDark-compatible GOG build with AngelLoader. Install AngelLoader outside Program Files, point it to Thief2.exe and your fan-mission folder, and leave mission archives zipped.

Question 4

Does Thief II have multiplayer?

Accepted Answer

No. Thief II is a single-player stealth campaign; PlayBound parties are useful for voice chat and shared sessions, not networked co-op.
