Marathon Rubicon X is a community add-on for Marathon 2: Durandal. Expands the Marathon trilogy with an epic standalone campaign set in a fractured AI network. Extract the scenario into your Aleph One Scenarios folder and choose Rubicon X from the scenario selector. Mods are versioned separately from the base game — match the recommended engine or client release before joining multiplayer, and keep a clean backup of your settings if you experiment with several packs at once. PlayBound only lists projects that publish redistributable archives or clear external download pages. Always read the upstream README for credits, required assets, and known incompatibilities.
Install with the PlayBound Launcher
The launcher installs this into Scenarios/Rubicon/. If the base game is missing, it will install that first.
Install alephone first if you have not already — Marathon Rubicon X is an add-on and needs the base game.
The quickest route is the PlayBound Launcher: open alephone, find Marathon Rubicon X in its mods list and press Install. The launcher downloads the official release and places it in the right folder for you.
To install it by hand, download the latest release archive from github.com/Aleph-One-Marathon/rubicon/releases.
Extract the archive into the "Scenarios/Rubicon" folder inside your alephone installation directory.
