GZDoom gameplay overhaul: weapon handling, gore, and movement on Freedoom.

Replaces the stock arsenal with reloadable guns, adds executions and enhanced monster behaviour, and retunes player movement. Visual gore and muzzle effects are part of the pack — turn them down in the mod options if you want the gunplay without the excess.
Project Brutality is a community add-on for Freedoom. Project Brutality is the still-in-development successor scene to Brutal Doom: magazine-fed weapons, executions, and faster movement authored as a GZDoom PK3. Upstream treats the GitHub default branch as bleeding-edge, not a finished release, and tells you to load it with GZDoom plus Freedoom or a commercial IWAD. PlayBound already lists Brutal Doom as a ModDB hub; this row is the Brutality project itself. Open the GitHub repo, download the branch zip or a community PK3, and load it in GZDoom with Freedoom Phase 2 (or Doom II). Do not drop it into PlayBound's Brutal Doom hub row — that is a different project. Mods are versioned separately from the base game — match the recommended engine or client release before joining multiplayer, and keep a clean backup of your settings if you experiment with several packs at once. PlayBound only lists projects that publish redistributable archives or clear external download pages. Always read the upstream README for credits, required assets, and known incompatibilities.
Download page
This package isn't one-click yet. Open the official download page in your browser, then place files in the game's mods folder.
Install Freedoom first if you have not already — Project Brutality is an add-on and needs the base game.
The quickest route is the PlayBound Launcher: open Freedoom, find Project Brutality in its mods list and press Install. The launcher downloads the official release and places it in the right folder for you.
Project Brutality is distributed through https://github.com/pa1nki113r/Project_Brutality. Follow the instructions there — some add-ons install through the base game's own content browser rather than as a file.
Start Freedoom and enable Project Brutality from the in-game mods or add-ons menu. The download is roughly 180 MB.
No. Brutal Doom is a different project; PlayBound already lists that as a ModDB hub. Project Brutality is the later GZDoom overhaul with its own GitHub tree.
A community PK3 or the current GitHub branch zip. Upstream treats the default branch as bleeding-edge, not a numbered release.
