Dawn of Darkness replaces Quake II's weapons, enemies and levels with a gothic-fantasy campaign. The 5.15 release is a full package of over 4,000 files, arranged as its own Quake2 directory with the modified game library and data, a Default OpenGL shortcut and a walkthrough demo text. It is large, about 375 MB compressed, and runs from its own folder rather than from your main Quake II install.
Install with the PlayBound Launcher
The launcher installs this into mods/quake-ii-dawn-of-darkness/ for Quake II Enhanced. If the base game is missing, it will install that first.
Install Quake II Enhanced first if you have not already — Dawn of Darkness is an add-on and needs the base game.
