Project Vortex is a first person shooter, fighter, multiplayer mod for Quake II created by ghz. Vortex is an Action-RPG for Quake 2! The first playable version of it was release in 1999 and here we are, 10 years later, still around thanks to continuous updates, improvements, and a strong fanbase! Kill monsters and players to gain experience points... The current download offered here is VRX_Q2_CLIENT_FULL.zip (138 MB), uploaded Apr 12th, 2009 by ghz. PlayBound downloads the archive and unpacks it into a mod folder inside your Quake II install; follow the included readme to enable it.
Install with the PlayBound Launcher
The launcher installs this into mods/quake-ii-project-vortex/ for Quake II Enhanced. If the base game is missing, it will install that first.
