A free Command & Conquer-style RTS built on the OpenRA engine, currently in public playtest.
RTS / Strategy · 2010 · ~350 MB · Open Source (GPL-3.0)
That One Thing
It strips away thirty years of sluggish clunkiness from classic Command & Conquer while keeping every ounce of the razor-sharp RTS pacing intact.
Crystallized Nexus is a free real-time strategy game built on the OpenRA engine by DoGyAUT. It is a standalone OpenRA build with its own mods folder, including a complete Crystallized Nexus game plus the bundled Command & Conquer mod content, released as open source under the GPL-3.0.
This edition installs the 20 August 2026 playtest build as a self-contained Windows 64-bit portable package of about 400 MB. It is a pre-release playtest, so expect rough edges and frequent updates. It runs separately from your regular OpenRA install.
Credit for Crystallized Nexus goes to DoGyAUT and contributors. It is built on the OpenRA engine and the community that maintains it.
