Question 1

Why is Theme Hospital marked as a master copy?

Accepted Answer

CorsixTH and similar engine recreations require the copyrighted graphics, sounds, maps, and other data from an owned copy of Theme Hospital.

Question 2

Where should I buy Theme Hospital?

Accepted Answer

PlayBound links to GOG’s preserved DRM-free release, which has a regular price of $5.99 and is often discounted.

Question 3

Do I need Theme Hospital to use CorsixTH?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CorsixTH supplies a modern engine but does not distribute the original game data, so you must provide files from the full game or supported demo.

Question 4

Can I play the original Theme Hospital directly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GOG’s preserved version supports current Windows and macOS systems, although CorsixTH offers the better modern interface and resolution support.
