Privateer Gemini Gold is a faithful remake of Origin's 1993 Wing Commander: Privateer, rebuilt on the open-source Vega Strike engine. You start with a battered Tarsus and a loan to service, then make your own way through the Gemini Sector — run cargo, take bounty contracts, smuggle, or follow the artefact storyline that ties the sector's factions together. Unlike the original it runs natively at modern resolutions with 3D ships and current-OS support, and the project distributes it freely for Windows, macOS and Linux.
