Do I need the original game?

Yes. OpenPrivateer does not include any copyrighted assets; you must own Wing Commander: Privateer and provide PRIV.TRE and INITCFG.PAK (plus RF.TRE and INITRF.PAK for Righteous Fire).

Click Install with PlayBound. The latest OpenPrivateer nightly build is downloaded and unpacked (about 5 MB).

Launch OpenPrivateer, choose Open Game Data in its launcher, and point it at the folder with PRIV.TRE and INITCFG.PAK from your own copy of Wing Commander: Privateer. For the Righteous Fire expansion, add RF.TRE and INITRF.PAK too.

Rolling nightly build from the project's GitHub releases. Needs the original Wing Commander: Privateer data files (PRIV.TRE, INITCFG.PAK) from your own copy.
