About Baseball Stars 2

Baseball Stars 2 is SNK's 1992 Neo Geo sequel that kept the series' swagger: build a squad, take the mound, and settle arguments one at-bat at a time. The diamond is drawn with arcade clarity — pitch locations, swing timing, and base-running decisions land in the same readable language as the original Baseball Stars, with enough personality in the player sprites that a walk-off still looks personal.

Create-a-team is the social hook. You name a club, dress it in bad colors, and immediately care more about a routine grounder because it carries your logo. Versus play turns the same tools against a friend: pitching mixes, stolen bases, and the quiet dread of a full count with runners on. It is sports game theatre without a career menu the size of a spreadsheet.

PlayBound lists the GOG DRM-free Windows master. Install opens Galaxy on the owned product so the download is a single client hop after purchase. Detection watches common GOG Games paths and the FBNeo set name `bstars2.zip` so Connect can launch managed RetroArch instead of pretending the Windows port has rollback netcode. Controllers map cleanly; Neo Geo baseball was always a pad sport.

Caveats stay on the page. Ownership is required. PlayBound does not ship ROMs or GOG installers. The original Baseball Stars catalog slug (`baseball-stars` / `bstars.zip`) remains a separate title — this entry is only Baseball Stars 2. BIOS for FBNeo lives under RetroArch's system folder when you take the Connect path. Two players is the honest netplay ceiling.
