Post-apocalyptic GZDoom total conversion. Standalone pack includes Episode 1, Afterglow, and Hard Reset on Freedoom.
Ashes 2063 is Vostyok's post-apocalyptic GZDoom campaign set in the southeastern United States in 2063. Maps lean Build-engine: tight interiors, outdoor wreckage, and a lot of looting. Combat stays Doom-fast, but the cast is raiders, mutants, and scavengers rather than demons, with retrofit firearms, a journal, and a motorcycle between set pieces. The tone sits between Fallout and STALKER without copying either plot.
The ModDB standalone (currently 1.51) is the edition PlayBound lists. It bundles a known-good GZDoom build with Freedoom assets, so Doom II is not required. Inside the pack, Episode 1 is the Enriched Edition of Ashes 2063 (the original campaign plus Dead Man Walking), Episode 2 is Afterglow, and Hard Reset is the Afterglow prequel. Each episode launches separately; inventory and map progress do not carry over.
PK3-only downloads exist for players who already run GZDoom plus Freedoom or Doom II. Afterglow in particular is a large second campaign, not a map pack, and is the reason this edition's name includes both episodes.

Not for the standalone. That pack uses Freedoom. The PK3-only files need GZDoom plus Freedoom Phase 2 or a legal Doom II IWAD.
Yes, in the 1.51 standalone, along with Hard Reset. Afterglow is a separate episode with its own launch option; it does not continue a 2063 save.
