A fast 3v3 volleyball game that makes one player's timing, approach, and court position feel personal.
That One Thing
One controlled player makes every rally your responsibility.
The Spike Cross clears the PlayBound Bar with a specific hook, honest trade-offs, and a version worth putting in front of players.
Worth the cost
Free, or regularly available for $15 or less. Good developers deserve to be paid, and optional cosmetics, expansions, and premium extras are welcome. But we won't list games that sell competitive advantages, disguise a trial as free, or charge again to finish the core experience.
Ready to play
Playable and satisfying today. It can be unfinished; it cannot be unfun. We love supporting indie developers, but prototypes, broken releases, and promises of a future game do not make the cut.
Tested by PlayBound
We install it, launch it, and play it ourselves. We've spent hours building definitive editions and making multiplayer work, because a store-page claim is not the same as a game we can confidently put in front of you.
That One Thing
Every game needs that one thing we'd excitedly tell our friends about. It might be the mechanics, story, art, soundtrack, controls, community, or the way it brings people together. If it doesn't have one, it doesn't make the catalog.

The Spike Cross is SUNCYAN's free 3v3 volleyball game, built around controlling one athlete from serve to final point. Its side-on action compresses quick sets, pipes, open attacks, receives and blocks into a readable rhythm that sits between sports simulation and arcade timing game.
The single-player story follows Siwoo's growth while tournament, colosseum and beach-volleyball modes vary the rules and pressure. Because the player owns one position rather than the whole team, footwork matters: arrive early for an approach, read the setter, commit to a block and live with the empty space left behind.
Cross-platform account linking connects the PC and mobile lineages, and the Steam build supports local shared-screen modes. Character progression and in-app purchases add a longer collection layer around the court action, so players should understand that this is a live free-to-play sports game rather than a fixed arcade package.
The native Windows release is currently Steam-only and requires a Google or Apple account. Steam is therefore necessary here. Modified clients, currency cheats and unlock patches are not legitimate mods and will never be offered by PlayBound.
PlayBound's read: the hook is immediate: controlling one player makes a rally feel earned. The surrounding progression will not suit everyone, but the timing and court movement have real bite.
We picked The Spike Cross because its single-player control model turns volleyball positioning into a focused action game instead of a detached team-management exercise.
